Smallville: Ci sarà un'ottava stagione

CW Network ha annunciato la notizia che molti di noi speravamo. Ci sarà un ottava stagione di Smallville.

Ecco il comunicato stampa ufficiale:

"The CW announced early pickups of six series today, including the network's signature reality hit, AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL, four dramas and one comedy. All six series will return for the fall season.

The network's most popular series, AMERICA'S NEXT TOP MODEL will return with mega-star Tyra Banks for cycles 11 and 12. Returning dramas include the buzz-worthy freshman hit GOSSIP GIRL and ONE TREE HILL, returning for a sixth season. These three series are the top-ranked shows on television with a concentration of women 18-34 viewers.

Also renewed were the long-running Thursday night team of SMALLVILLE, which will begin its eighth season (Sono stati rinnovati anche i giovedì sera di SMALLVILLE, visto che avrà inizio la sua ottava stagione), and SUPERNATURAL, which will begin its fourth season. In addition, the critically acclaimed comedy EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS will return for season four."

I creatori di Smallville Gough e Millar lasciano la serie

Con una mossa inaspettata, i creatori di Smallville Al Gough e Miles Millar hanno annunciato che lascieranno la serie alla fine della 7° Stagione.

La Warner Bros. TV & la CW hanno rilasciato la seguente dichiarazione:

“Al Gough e Miles Millar sono stati grandi partner strumentali per lo sviluppo ed il successo di Smallville. Se da una parte siamo tristi per la loro dipartita, dall’altra siamo molto entusiasti nell’annunciare che i produttori esecutivi Todd Slavkin, Darren Swimmer, Kelly Souders e Brian Peterson prenderanno le redini della serie dalla prossima stagione. Todd, Darren, Kelly e Brian sono stati sceneggiatori per la serie nelle sei stagioni passate e, come produttori per gli ultimi quattro anni, hanno giocato un ruolo integrante nell'evoluzione creativa della serie. Come responsabili della serie, continueranno a fornire la narrazione irresistibile che i fan di Smallville si apettano ed amano".
